The Khaje Nasir Observatory

The Khaje Nasir Observatory

the astronomical complex of Maraqeh, whose remains can now be seen, was built in the 657 year of the lunar ego, at the time of Hulaglu by order of the great Iranian scientist Khaje Nasir-od-din Tusi. The archaeological excavations have brought to light several sectors: the observatory itself, a central tower, five rotating units, a library and more. Near the architectural complex there is a cave belonging to the Sasanian period, known as the Taleb Khan Cave.
